MS Degree ( Masters Degree or Masters Program )

Masters Degree-

Previously  I have demonstrated you about associate degree and bachelor degree. Today I am going to help you out with what a masters degree is. A masters degree is also an academic degree that is awarded by the universities only on the completion of course by the students. The duration of the course depends on the type of specialization the student approaches. There are separate course studies depending on the area and field of study of the professional practice. Only after the completion of Bachelors Degree, we can apply to masters degree. It’s impossible for the students to have a masters degree from the university before completing the Bachelors Degree in any other University or the same University.

There are two common titles for the masters degree namely master of arts and Master of Science.  There are also other degrees namely master of Business Administration, health administration, business engineering, European business,, counselling divinity, library, science, public administration, social work, public policy, laws, music, Master of information, fine arts and master of Public Health. There are many other degrees and will be mentioned below.

There are many types in Masters degrees. The of postgraduate masters degree, postgraduate research masters degree, executive masters degree and integrated masters degree.

Postgraduate Masters Degree-

Postgraduate masters degree is designed for anyone who is having a bachelor’s degree and we talked about this in the previous paragraph. Nowadays most of the students from India especially from Andhra Pradesh are trying to pursue a masters degree in America. This masters degree is termed as MS.

Postgraduate Research Degree-

Postgraduate research degree is also design for the people who have a bachelor’s degree along with his sufficient research and Publication that he had published in website or any other media. This research degree is only for the students who are trying to improve the Science research.

Executive Masters Degree-

This executive masters degree is only for the professionals. Admission requirements, graduation requirement and structure for executive masters degree differ from that of the regular part time degree. This executive masters degree is not very popular all over the world but are taken up by the  professionals.

Integrated Masters Degree-

Integrated masters degree is a type of dual degree course. Usually a dual degree course is a type of course which offers two types of degrees for the students who completed the course. The same way, integrated masters degree is a type of masters degree that is related to the undergraduate programs of the student in the same University. As soon as he complete the undergraduate program in the university, he is directly transferred to the master’s degree program in the same University. He can also transfer the university after the completion of any semester. This integrated masters degree he is very useful for the person who are willing to pursue Masters in the interested course.

Fee structure varies from University to University and also from degree to degree. For example, the university fee for the completion of masters degree in the University of Massachusetts and Massachusetts Institute of Technology is very high when compared to other universities in the same area. Not only the masters, the fee structure for undergraduate education also varies for both Universities.

In India there are many degrees of post graduation following the bachelor degree which can also be preceded to a doctorate in usually require a maximum of 2 to 3 years to complete. There are many available degrees namely master of Arts, Business Administration, computer applications, computer management, engineering, philosophy,  science, science in information technology, technology, statistics, loss, commerce and business studies.
